**This event is now closed for booking** After decades of hiatus, London is experiencing a new wave of high-quality local authority house building. Councils are looking for better value and better quality. Communities are also rightly expecting to benefit from housing regeneration and to be participating in the process.
At this London Society talk Archio Architects, community-led housing experts, will present a live housing design project for Southwark Council. The architects will explore themes of social value, community co-creation and housing design quality. Representatives from the Council and local residents will add their perspective on the regeneration process and how to ensure wider social value benefits.
Speakers include Rachel Askew, Southwark Council; Helen Reid, Pitman Tozer Architects; and Sydney Simms, Southwark Youth Advisors.
