Martyn Evans, Creative Director of LandsecU+I will lead a walking tour of Spitalfields and Brick Lane where he cut his teeth in the property industry in the mid 1990s.

The area has been in a constant state of development and change since the French Huguenots arrived in the late 17thCentury to escape religious strife. Since then it has been a refuge for both Jewish and Bangladeshi immigrant communities and, in the late 90s at The Old Truman Brewery that straddles the middle of Brick Lane, the Hipster brigade. It’s a fantastic story of centuries of regeneration of an area of London and its relationship to Broadgate and The City, where it sits, cheek-by-jowl, and could not be more different.
