Skate stoppers, spikes and segregated seating. Colonial enclaves, council estates, railway arches, and banana boxes. In this talk, Nile Bridgeman (Afterparti) and Akil Scafe-Smith (Resolve) will discuss their articles from Afterparti Issue 00, a zine produced by a fresh-thinking collective of the same name who unpack contemporary urban space through the lenses of identity and race. Respectively, they will discuss the defensive architecture of our public realm and the "permanent infrastructures and precarious spaces” of Caribbean identity in Brixton Market.

The event will be chaired by Holly Lewis, We Made That.
