The London Society, Stanton Williams and UCL have partnered to ask how we can continue to create the spaces for the changemakers of the future.
A panel will explore the role of the built environment in accelerating breakthroughs and discoveries in areas as diverse as medicines, manufacturing, technology and art.
This free event will begin with a brief tour of the UCL East campus’ Marshgate building, led by Stirling prize-winning architects Stanton Williams alongside representatives of the university.
The discussion will then take place inside the new campus on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which has collaboration and interdisciplinary working designed into every aspect of its operation, from its buildings and teams to its research labs, partnerships, and degree programmes. At a time when the world is facing multiple challenges on many fronts, UCL believes that vital discoveries are too important to leave to chance.
