SNEAK PEEK | BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London (Neasden Temple)

Join volunteers from Neasden Temple for this exciting tour of one of London’s most iconic monuments – a landmark contributing to the diversity of the north London skyline with grandeur. It is a monument steeped in rich history that stands testament to the vision, dedication and selfless service of its inspirer – His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj – who bestowed not only the city of London, but the nation with a unique and priceless gift.

The Temple opened its doors to the world on 20 August 1995. Affectionately known as ‘Neasden Temple’, it has served as a beacon of devotion, celebration and learning as well as a sanctuary of peace, harmony and community service over the past 29 years.

Its story is rooted in a ‘labour of love’ – a collective benevolence central to its construction from devoted worshippers and well-wishers which culminated in the assembly of more than 26,000 pieces of hand-carved stone.

Countless worshippers and visitors – over 500,000 each year – from all walks of life and from various corners of the world have walked through its gates, inspired and captivated by its beauty.
